Magnetic Signs

General Info

Magnetic signs are convenient for those who don't have a dedicated work vehicle, but still want to be able to advertise their business. Your vehicle gets a lot of exposure each day, and it should not be wasted, as it is a very cost effective way of advertising. If you do want your company's information on your vehicle permanently, vehicle lettering is another option.

Magnetic signs can be any size needed, though we do offer standard sizes, such as 24" x 12" and 24" x 18". It is recommended that you measure the area of your vehicle where you want the signs to go, and make sure that there isn't any molding or trim that will be in the way. You want to make sure the signs stay nice and flat so they don't get blown off while you are driving. They can even be made large enough for the sides of work vans, a typical size for this use would be 24" tall by 36" wide.

A white background is standard, though we can produce any color background with any desired colors of text and graphics. We round the corners on all of our magnetic signs to help prevent dog-earing.

Caring For Your Magnetic Signs

Before applying your magnetic signs to your vehicle, make sure the vehicle surface is clean and dry, and that the magnetic side of the sign is clean and dry.

If you are applying your signs in the winter, make sure the sign temperature is at least 50° F during application. The temperature of the vehicle's surface does not matter. Once again, make sure that the vehicle surface and back of the sign is clean and dry!

Waxing your vehicle before applying the signs will help prevent any damage. Magnetic signs are not recommended for repainted surfaces, and extra care should be taken with wood grain paneling and metallic finishes.

Make sure that you always remove your sign(s) before passing through a car wash, and only replace them when the surface of the vehicle is completely dry.

It is advisable to remove your signs when your vehicle will be parked in public for a length of time, so that they won't be taken by any mischievous vandals.

When storing magnetic signs, it is best to store them flat. Avoid putting heavy or sharp objects on, under or against stored signs. A very convenient place to store them is stuck on the side of a refrigerator or filing cabinet. This will ensure that they stay nice and flat until the next time they are used.
